The Divine units also come with a pre-carbon filter that removes Volatile Organic Chemicals before the water is channelled to the boiling chamber for distillation.
The filter supplied with new distiller lasts for an average of 5,700 litres of water for the larger units. Depending on the frequency of operating the Divine distiller a filter can lasts you between one and one and a half year, and a replacement filter cost is economical.
The manufacturer of the Divine distillers recommends that for large units the VOCs be removed by the pre-carbon filter method before boiling, as boiling these chemicals in the water may create volatile gas that vaporizes.
In an enclosed room such volatile gas could remain in the room and breathing-in of the gas is believed to be detrimental to our health, hence the manufacturers’ recommendation for their removal through the pre-carbon filter process before the water enters the distillation chamber.
As if that wasn’t enough the Divine Distillers also come with a post-carbon filter for the final stage of the water purification process. A sachet of coconut activated charcoal accompanies each distiller, enough for two applications or 5 to 6 months. Changing is recommended for each 2.1/2 to 3 months during usage. The Divines are fitted with circuit board type of circuitry, making maintenance or repair much simpler if ever needed.
In older design automatic water distillers it is common to find mechanical floats and float seals the causes of problems with leaks leading to failures. Not so with the Divine distillers. The Devines boast of a simple and practical modern design without mechanical floats and without float seals.
Detection of water level in the boiling chamber and holding tank is done by sensors, thus eliminating the possible failures of floats, seals or mechanical switches that are common in many automatic distillers.
The designers also provide plenty of room for easy access to the electrical connectors to ensure that in the event of servicing the matter could not be simpler.
The Divine comes complete with the stainless steel boiling chamber on the top, and the stainless steel storage tank below for the purified water, and is delivered virtually assembled.
Installation is an easy three steps.
1] attach the faucet on the front by hand as no tools are needed. The faucet is fitted with sight-glass to show how much water is contained in the storage tank.
2] unscrew one screw at the back of the unit to attach the pre-carbon filter that sits on top of the storage tank and slot it into place.
3] attach an incoming water line to the distiller using the sturdy white water tube and the ‘T’-pipe connectors supplied. Drain valves are already installed on the Divine water distillers, leaving practically no plumbing to do. Just follow the simple installation instructions that accompany the unit.
That’s all. Probably the easiest installation of any automatic water distiller on the market today.
Both the heating element and the solenoid valve are stainless steel. As in most distillers the Divine also has a pin opening vent in the cooling coil for volatile gases to vent. The fan for the cooling coil is protected with a shroud to prevent the fan blade from knocking the coil during freighting of the unit.
OUTSTANDING TEN-YEAR
WARRANTY
The Divines carries one (1) full year warranty against defects in materials on all electrical components & other parts and labour, and ten (10) years limited warranty on all stainless steel parts. If the unit is found to have defective electrical and other parts within the first year, the parts will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. Warranty on the stainless steel parts are warranted on a fully pro-rata replacement cost.
During the first five years from the date of purchase, stainless steel parts are warranted on a full replacement of parts or cost.
After five years from the date of purchase the stainless steel parts are warranted on a fully pro-rata replacement cost basis not to exceed 10 years from date of purchase. This warranty is void if the damage or defect is caused by Act of God, accident, customer abuse, unauthorized alteration or repair, vandalism or misuse. Any optional attachment is not included as part of this warranty.
